I've been photographing nature in Japan, for over 3 years now.  I like Japan and it's energy is so very different from my native England.

It suits me!

I've become very attracted to the flowers here.  They are all grown in Japan and although some are still transported from the north and south islands, I personally feel very satisfied with the plants and cut flowers that I buy.  I feel this underlying essence comes through the shots.There's a real story to be told here!  I'm not a photographer! 

These shots came about from a desire to find some colours and energies to put onto a colour chart to use in Word Art.   It was born out of not criticizing myself, because I was never looking for the right angle, the sharpness or balance, just colours and energy.  Not one photo was ever thrown away, because all had a section that I could cut and use as a 'live colour'  Two years later I was thinking....'blimey, thats a good one' and 'this could be a full time job'.

When my flowers come to stay with me, I like to play classical or channelled music to them.  In the studio or area in which I am working, I lay out crystals and use candle light.

I love light, so I take advantage of sunrises and sunsets and I like to keep my backgrounds interesting too.

I'm really honoured that my little flowers are making their way out into the world.  I hope you enjoy welcoming the colour and energy into your life too.
